Schools name residents to dean's lists
St. Mary's College of Maryland
ST. MARY'S CITY, MD (readMedia)-- Liza Moore, a resident of Collegeville, was awarded dean's list honors for academic achievement during the fall 2012 semester at St. Mary's College of Maryland (SMCM).
Dean's list honors are awarded to full-time students at SMCM who earn a semester grade-point average of 3.50 or better on 12 or more graded credits.
St. Mary's College of Maryland, designated the Maryland state honors college in 1992, is ranked one of the best public liberal arts schools in the nation by U.S News & World Report. More than 2,000 students attend the college, nestled on the St. Mary's River in Southern Maryland.
Clarion University
CLARION, PA (readMedia)-- Lindsay Bly of Collegeville was named to the dean's list for the fall 2012 semester at Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
Students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 for placement on the dean's list.
Keene State College
KEENE, NH (readMedia)-- Keene State College has released the dean's list for the fall semester 2012. Among the 1,441 students named to the dean'slList is Jaime Lynn Del Pizzo of Collegeville.
The dean's list designation is bestowed to those Keene State College undergraduates enrolled in a degree program who have completed a minimum of six credit hours in the semester, receiving no failing or incomplete grades. A 3.5 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale is required to earn the Dean's List honor.

Residents on dean's lists
Cornell
ITHACA, NY (readMedia )-- The following local residents have been named to the Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences' dean's list for fall semester 2012:
Erin Barlow, a resident of Audubon.
Maria Donnini, a resident of Plymouth Meeting.
The College of Arts and Sciences is Cornell University's largest undergraduate college. It provides a high-quality liberal arts education to its own students, and its courses are also accessible to all other students at Cornell. The college's faculty includes national and international leaders in their respective disciplines.
California Lutheran
THOUSAND OAKS, CA (readMedia)-- Bethany Bryde of King of Prussia is among 648 students who made the dean's list at California Lutheran University for the fall semester.
Bryde is a freshman undeclared major.
Students qualified for the fall dean'slList by maintaining a 3.6 grade point average in their academic subjects.
CLU is a selective university located in Thousand Oaks, with centers in Oxnard, Woodland Hills and Santa Maria for graduate courses and its Adult Degree Evening Program.
Beloit
BELOIT, WI (01/17/2013)(readMedia)-- Taylor Silar, of Blue Bell, PA, has been named to Beloit College's dean's list for the 2012 fall semester. Silar is a freshman.
To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must carry a semester GPA of 3.4 or higher and take a minimum of 3 letter-graded units for the term.
Beloit College is a residential, liberal arts college offering 40 majors to its 1,250 students. Located 90 miles northwest of Chicago, Beloit is one of the nation's most international colleges, drawing students from 41 nations as well as 48 states.

Sara McManus receives award for citizenship at Widener
The Widener University-Pennsylvania Military College Alumni Association recognized Sara McManus of Norristown, as the recipient of the John L. Geoghegan Student Citizenship Award.
The award  is given annually in memory of Geoghegan, a member of the class of 1963, to a student who has brought honor to the university through leadership and community service.
McManus, a senior anthropology and chemistry major, received the award during Alumni Volunteer and Excellence Weekend.
 McManus has earned a 3.94 grade point average and is a member of several leadership and honor societies including Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa and was the Widener University Newman Civic Fellow Award winner for 2012.
McManus serves as an AmeriCorps Community Fellow, performing more than 300 hours of community service in the city of Chester and through the Office of Civic Engagement. Last year, she co-coordinated Widener Cares, an after-school tutoring program at local churches and youth centers in Chester.
McManus works in the Office of Civic Engagement as a liaison between community partners and those on campus seeking volunteer opportunities. She also spearheads specific service projects for the campus, planning and promoting projects for the Widener community.
She has worked in the Office of Admissions as a Pride Ambassador, serves as a PRIDE Mentor through the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, and has been active in the Widener Activities Council.
After graduation, McManus plans to serve as an AmeriCorps Volunteer in Service to America (VISTA) in Philadelphia or Chester, and her experiences at Widener have led her to pursue a life-long career of service. McManus is the daughter of Deborah and Joseph McManus.

Clemson U names dean's list
CLEMSON, SC (readMedia) -- The following local residents have been named to the dean's list at Clemson University for the fall 2012 semester:
Margaret Jean Ebbott of Blue Bell, who is majoring in management (international management emphasis).
Jacquelyn Marie Schatz of Norristown, who is majoring in financial management.
Lindsey Nicole Moyer of Plymouth Meeting, who is majoring in mathematical sciences.
To be named to the dean'slList, a student must achieve a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.

Student on Emory & Henry dean's list
EMORY, VA. (readMedia)-- Timothy Gross, of Collegeville,  has been named to the Emory & Henry College dean's list for the fall semester.
To be eligible for dean's list, a student must achieve a semester GPA of 3.6 or better and take a minimum of 12 credit hours of course work during the semester.

Resident on Citadel dean's list
Ryan Thomas D'Ambrosio of Collegeville , has been named to the dean's list at The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, for academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2012-2013 academic year.
D'Ambrosio is a cadet seeking a bachelor's degree in Political Science .
Dean'slList recognition is given to those students whose grade point average is 3.2 or higher with no grade below a C for the previous semester's work.
The Citadel, founded in 1842, is a public, coeducational military college in Charleston, S.C., that offers a classic military education for young men and women seeking a college experience that is meaningful, academically strong and is focused on educating and developing principled leaders.

Student on Muhlenberg dean's list
Allentown, PA.- Muhlenberg College has announced its dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester.  Students must earn a minimum of a 3.5 grade point average (4.0-scale) to attain Dean’s List status.

The list includes Jeremy Fus, a member of the class of 2015, a math major from East Norriton. He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Lawrence J. Fus and a graduate of La Salle College High School.

Founded in 1848, Muhlenberg College is a highly selective liberal arts college in Allentown, PA. It is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.
